Responsive POP is a point-of-purchase display for MILK, an anti-frizz hair care product from REVERIE.

Composed of three different blocks of hexagonal forms, this display can be configured in countless positions to best respond to the space it occupies.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Create a POP display that was capable of responding to a fluctuating inventory.

  2. Develop a concept that allowed the POP display to work on a range of surfaces in any space.

  3. Represent REVERIE with a material palette that aligned with their company values.

CONCEPT

It was important that this POP could create a product identity through its materials and form instead of relying on signage. This allowed it to work in any application, including spaces without a surface for a sign or a space that could be viewed from all sides.

The honeycomb pattern worked like building blocks so the display could be arranged in countless configurations. This versatility encouraged retailers to use the POP in unique ways within their shop.

Adapts to any condition.

The blocks can be used independently throughout a store or all together to create a unique arrangement. The footprint may be sprawling or compact and can be condensed as product is sold, responding to inventory so it never appears empty.

RESULTS

  1. This POP display consisted of three blocks that could be expanded or contracted through different arrangements. This allowed the display to always have the perfect number of spaces to correspond to the number of bottles that were available.

  2. Because there was no front or back, this POP display could be viewed from any side. The ability to expand and contract allowed the footprint to work in both large and small spaces. These features allowed this POP display to work in any environment.

  3. This POP display was made entirely of recycled corrugate and detailed with two pieces of acrylic. Both of these materials were chosen because they could be easily recycled. This was important to REVERIE as it aligned with their commitment to natural and safe ingredients.

Responsive POP was honored by GDUSA with a point-of-purchase design award in 2015.
